You can check out the latest progress on the Media Mover port to Drupal 6 here. I've made quite a bit of headway on things- there are a few helper modules left to go and doubtless, lots of testing. However, I did an end to end test today of harvesting from a FTP server and pushed the files to Amazon's S3 with a FFmpeg conversion in between. The future is bright.
On a somewhat tangentially related note, there is an interesting conversation brewing about rich media handing for Drupal in the video group. I really hope this catches a bit more interest- it has the makings of something really really interesting.

I'd love to help out on documentation... I'm based down in Los Angeles & really active in the user community down here. I've been using Drupal for well over three years, but have been struggling with the complex setup of getting all the modules working together. I'm not sure if its versions mismatch, setup in wrong order, or I'm just tired and dimwitted.
MM itself has been pretty straightforward, but to get the FLV_MediaPlayer to work with a custom content has been a real pain. I'm simply not sure where things are falling down.
I'm on IRC most days with a nick of MediaDoneRight. Please feel free to at least say hi, maybe even offer a few words of encouragement or thoughts on how to proceed. Heck, hopefully even be setup by time you see this. ;-)
